Ontario’s PC government is continuing to build the modern long-term care homes seniors and families need in communities across the province.
Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford joined Natalia Kusendova-Bashta and Zee Hamid in Milton to celebrate the grand opening of the new Village of Ridgeview Court, delivering more modern, high-quality long-term care spaces for local seniors.
It’s another important milestone in our plan to build more modern, safe and comfortable long-term care homes and ensure seniors can receive high-quality care closer to their families and communities.
Through our historic $6.4 billion investment, we’re working to deliver 58,000 new and upgraded long-term care spaces across Ontario. As of July 2026, 156 projects representing 26,421 new and redeveloped spaces were completed, under construction or approved to begin construction.
While the previous Liberal government built just 611 net new long-term care spaces between 2011 and 2018, leaving more than 40,000 people on the waitlist, our Ontario PC team is getting shovels in the ground and building the long-term care capacity our growing province needs.
We’ll keep building and upgrading long-term care homes across Ontario so seniors can get the high-quality care they deserve, closer to home.
